They also convinced themselves in the spring that they have the best WR room in the conference :roll1:

They've gotten quiet on that, though deep down they probably still believe it.

"TOO MANY PLAYMAKERS FOR ANYONE TO HAVE GOOD STATS!"

Funny how other teams (Like Ohio State) don't seem to have that problem.

Not so many electric plays for the WRs in the 3 B1G games they've played.

The WRs have struggled for the most part against the "real" competition.
The fact Maryland, Iowa and Indiana are considered "real competition " that they've struggled with:slappy:
Though I should hold on to the trash talking after the L last year. But they make it too easy to mock

It's hilarious because they swear that their lofty stats (which are on the decline since they arent plays lower level FCS quality teams anymore) still are "100% legit and indicative of what kind of team they are"

But also "you can't say Ohio State is great yet because theyve played nobody!" in the same breath.

This week ain't so bad. *ichigan and Penn State fans fighting.
https://bwi.forums.rivals.com/threa...-michigan-all-time-wins-leader-of-982.324937/
Starts with a couple of *ichigan fans pumping up their team. We all know their favorite way to pump themselves up: all-time wins, right?
Penn State fans come back with logic about how their wins are mostly against shlubs and before the forward pass was legalized.
Michigan fans respond with a bunch of terrible logic.

How about we even the playing field a little? Starting in 1993 (when Penn State joined the Big Ten), and looking only at conference games:
Wins by team (counting ties as 0.5 wins - I really should go through and make a new column for ties, I guess)
193.5 Ohio State 0.827
157.0 *ichigan 0.688
153.5 Wisconsin 0.653
148.0 Penn State 0.622

Championships (and tied championships)
15 Ohio State
6 *ichigan
6 Wisconsin
4 Penn State

Anyway, enjoy your Jerry Springer "discussion". Let us know if you come to a consensus.

Neutral and knowledgeable parties joining in on laughing at Michigan’s early “success” on offense.

 you still get scUM fan in the responses asking "BUT WHO HAS CLIFFORD PLAYED!!!"

They just ignore their awful schedule. Iowa's defense is good on paper but they are incredibly slow and un-athletic when you actually watch them. What they do works against teams like Iowa State and Illinois but any team with any kind of spread out athleticism is going to expose them. Also it's not like McCarthy lit up Iowa either, He completed 18/24 for 155 yards and 1 TD. 10 of those 18 completions were check down dump offs to a TE or RB as well. 29 yards was their longest pass play in that game. They also throw in the "HARBAUGH PLAYED IT CONSERVATIVE! excuse. Is it really just "playing it" that way if that's how they play in every game outside of the 3 cream puffs they got to start the season?

I'd argue we will see a even more conservative approach now that McNamara is off the table apparently and a injury to McCarthy would cause a complete collapse. He's not great but he's been good enough at not forcing things and turning it over. You at least have to somewhat respect the passing game. The walk on or Alan Bowman would allow you to just go all out against the run game every play.
