Every year is different but 0 and 1 are the most common numbers for the B1G in terms of Elite 8 appearances for the conference per season. I believe a #3 seed was the best position the B1G had this year, so in theory they weren't expected to place a team in the Elite 8 based on initial seedings.

No it’s not normal. usually Michigan state or Michigan is in the elite 8 if you go back in the last decade.

It’s hard to believe with the success of UNC and Duke that they have never met in the NCAA tournament. They are both one win away from accomplishing that........I mean it’s typical for Coach K’s last season.
