2022/23 Bowl Game Discussion Thread

Seems more like a guy throwing his shoulder into the mix on the final play than head hunting.

The ejection part of the rule needs overhauled. Give a warning/yellow card for more incidental collisions.

don’t care that it was the “final play” that’s what most of the crying is going to be about. It was targeting. If the rule is there you call it no matter what time of the game it is.

But he’s dropping his shoulder to stop a goalline run. Could probably call targetting on 90% of run plays if we’re doing this

the runner vs. Defenseless receiver type of play is so different.

Arkansas gets the win. Surviving Kansas. Another overrated at one point SEC school though. Had a work associate tell me they were a good team “because they beat BYU”

Never mind that they got beat at home by Liberty, who got their doors blown off by New Mexico State and lost to Toledo.

The pollsters had Arkansas in the top 10 at one point which served the SEC teams that beat them quite well.

You should find a replay of the end of game slide by Duke QB who gets absolutely blasted by two UCF defenders is you really want to get pissed off at how wildly inconsistent targeting is called.
