2022/23 Bowl Game Discussion Thread

Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong....
Which is so karma, because during the previous 13 games everything that could go right did go right.
At the end of the day the difference is TCU called plays that got all their best players in position to make their signature plays....
Something that Ryan Day & Co. couldn't figure out....

2 pick 6's and 2 3 play 78 yard drives, that's tough to overcome

Well that's what happens when the whole team gets tight five minutes into the game, and you can't get a rush going so you have to put everything on the young QB's shoulders right? And the big busts on defense are a product of being behind and having to shoot guys to the line or on the pass rush because you're no longer comfortable letting them dink and dunk underneath; pretty sure OSU knows what that looks like.

It's hard for me to put this on JJ's shoulders when A) we put him in bad spots and B) he's the only reason we were within 6 with a chance to pull it off. The turnovers are pretty predictable when you put the whole gameplan on a 1st year starter's shoulders - and he almost got us there.

I'm not fighting you, please don't take offense; I just dunno what to do about the fact that I think your average 15 year old Madden kid wins that game and somehow, we found a way not to. It was like watching someone who simply didn't understand TCU's version of the 3-3-5, jamming the dive/off tackle buttons into oblivion. I am so disillusioned with that gameplan. The 2nd half comeback was a bridge too far precisely because we choked away the 1st half. No gameplan asking JJ to be perfect, was ever going to win at this level.
