Just read a poster on another site that Haskell is coming back.
Has that been verified.

I’m not a huge fan of the tranny portal. It should be used sparingly and when the upgrade is clear and needed to cover for early departures. It has been great for us (Sermon, Justin, Jonah Jackson).

Having said that I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing the USC LB with the name I won’t try to spell and Haskell’s cousin on the roster next year.
He is violent.

@Fungo Squiggly is the only known fan of the tranny portal on the site (that we know of).

The title game beatdown that the Crimson Tide put on Ohio State was more than a year in the making. It started last offseason when Nick Saban saw a handful of stars, including DeVonta Smith, Najee Harris, Jaylen Waddle, Dylan Moses and Alex Leatherwood, decide against the NFL and to return to Alabama. Clemson, even though the Buckeyes bested them on New Year’s Day, was able to bring back Travis Etienne for his senior year.

A year ago, Ohio State lost Chase Young, Jeff Okudah and J.K. Dobbins, each of whom left early for professional football.

Those three guys may have helped quite a bit on Monday night.

In the last week, Georgia has had six big-time players announce their intentions to head back to college next year, including quarterback J.T. Daniels. Those players each cited a desire to take care of unfinished business as the driving factor in their choices.

Ohio State has a lot of unfinished business. If Ryan Day and his Buckeyes want to have a real chance to win a national championship next season the way Alabama did this one, it’s going to be hard to do without some real good players putting off their personal futures for the team’s.

Haskell Garrett, Tommy Togiai, Tyreke Smith, Sevyn Banks and Petit-Frere — and maybe a surprise like Shaun Wade or Chris Olave — returning to get the bad taste of Monday night out of their mouth is going to show whether or not brotherhood is more than just a buzzword.

Just sayin': If you are projected to be a high round draft pick, there's nothing wrong with opting out and staring a pro career; however, still, it will be interesting to see who opts out for the NFL draft and who returns for the 2021 season.

I think an added lesson most players will have learned from 2020 is that given uncertainty around the world (pandemic, political, etc.), they probably need to focus on securing their own future financial stability. That is even moreso for me given the Big Ten and most of the rest of the FBS organizers really struggled to make decisions that actually helped players this year, and this year already sucked enough from COVID19. I'd think most players enter the draft and start earning that NFL money while they can.

Go get paid, baby. Strike while that iron is hot.

The school will likely be here when their playing career is over. Shoot a text to Cardale Jones if you want Exhibit A.

Bama didn’t win the SEC or make the playoff last year. That’s so abnormal by their standard, that I can understand players wanting to correct that mistake.

The USC LB (I'm only learning to spell his name if he comes here) is legit...I watched him when he was at Bishop Gorman and damn he can ball. He was way high up on my wish list the year we recruited him. If he's got Haskell and Togiai coming back, that has to be enticing as a LB, it's going to be a tackle party.

I'll be back to post on the 2021 team, but still reminiscing on this season despite last night. But we've got the chance to be really damn good again even with some key departures.

Interesting note here in Austin Ward's latest piece on Lettermen Row:

The Buckeyes could potentially benefit from a fresh set of eyes and new blood on the staff, and multiple Lettermen Row sources have indicated that veteran, respected co-defensive coordinator Greg Mattison could be set to retire after two years with the program. If that spot opens as expected, that creates an intriguing situation to revitalize the Silver Bullets — although it could also be a delicate one. Kerry Coombs is absolutely one of the best defensive backs coaches at any level in the sport, but Ohio State will have to decide if it still believes he should be the top coordinator after the dramatic statistical slide that followed the loss of Jeff Hafley last year.

the dramatic statistical slide that followed the loss of Jeff Hafley last year.
And the losses of Chase Young, Jeff Okudah, Damon Arnette, and Jordan Fuller.

You lose a monster pass rusher, two lockdown corners, and the captain of your defense, and you're going to have a dramatic statistical slide, it's simply inevitable.

With that being said, the defense did look pretty awful at times last year, and they got blown apart by Alabama. tOSU needs to upgrade talent on the field and on the staff.
