It is spongey as hell. It’s like trying to sprint across a trampoline. They hold the combine there because it falsely inflates straight line speed times which attracts eyeballs for the combine. It sucks to land/plant/pivot on. I’ve been on this crusade for 13 years, and I will fight on until it is replaced.

As bad, in the opposite way, as the Shoe was after the ‘88 (or was it ‘89) season? I was inside the stadium when they were pulling up the turf (stole some, I did) and the padding was so compressed it was like the astroturf was glued to concrete.

Going back over 20 years, there was Marcus Autzen for FSU against Tennessee in the Fiesta Bowl after the 1998 season. But he was their 3rd string QB. And yeah, Tennessee had huge luck to get to that game. Clint fuccing Stoerner.
