2021-2022 College Basketball Discussion

Patrick Baldwin Jr. The #4 Player in this recruiting class spurns Duke to play for Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His dad is the coach there.

Just sayin':

1. He'll get more playing time, touches, and chances to put up bigger numbers than he would have had at Duke. If he does put up the numbers, he'll probably just be a one and done "lottery pick" too.

2. Pat Baldwin Sr. is having a very undistinguished record at Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

2017/2018: 16-17, 8-10, tie for 5th
2018/2019: 9-22, 4-14, 10th
2019/2020: 12-19, 7-11, tie for 7th
2020/2021: 10-12, 7-10, 8th

By playing at Wisconsin-Milwaukee, he may also of saved his old man's job too (at least for a few more years)....:biggrin2:

The PAc-12 was the only conference in college basketball last season that saw four teams advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.

"You’re finding out that the Pac-12 not being ranked all year was an absolute joke, and some people ought to be ashamed of themselves," UCLA coach Mick Cronin said. "Now maybe people can’t stay up late, and I don’t blame them because I can’t either. So maybe people can’t stay up for our games."

The Pac-12 should feature several programs ranked inside the preseason Top 25 later this year. UCLA has won more NCAA titles than any other college basketball program, with 11, notes 247Sports analyst Kevin Flaherty, but no league school has cut down the nets as national champion since Arizona's stunning run to the 1997 title.

UCLA won its most recent championship two years prior to that, behind the play of Wooden Award winner Ed O’Bannon. And no Pac-12 team has even played for the national championship since UCLA in 2006.

A record-setting five Pac-12 teams appeared in the final USA Today poll last season, including three who advanced to the Elite Eight. Via the Pac-12 Conference, here's a full look at the rotational schedule for the upcoming season:

Of course he’s doing the farewell tour. At least Roy just said screw it and walked away this year.

That said, he is an icon of the sport. Don’t expect any one like him, with his longevity and success, again.
