But...but...but he's a first year Starter. Recent tOSU first year starters:
JT Barrett: 64.6%, 2834 up, 34/10 td/int, 169.8 qbr (5th in Heisman Vote)
Dwayne Haskins: 70.0%, 4831 yp, 50/8 td/int, 174.1 qbr (Heisman Finalist)
Justin Fields: 67.2%, 3273 yp, 41/3 td/int, 181.4 qbr (Heisman Finalist)

Other recent examples: Trevor Lawrence (National Champ QB), Kyler Murray (Heisman Winner)...I'll stop there because there's countless examples of 1st year starters having tremendous success...but somehow, scUM's guy can't be trusted to toss the ball more than 7 yards downfield.
