Michigan just got a commitment from Dominick Giudice, the #1154 player in the country, a 3-star DE prospect from New Jersey with a rating of .8054 on the 247 Composite.

Giudice ... New Jersey ... why does that sound familiar?

Mgoblog:

FWIW he had this link listing he’s the 5th best DE in the nation: Link
Idk what that site is but hopefully they know something the big recruiting services don’t.
Apparently he has a relative running a “recruiting” website that has him ranked higher, as a DE, than Korey Foreman (the #1 composite player in the country is #14 on their ranking of DEs.... seems totally legit) and Jack Sawyer. So they’ve got that going for them...

And, the pipeline into NJ still has legs as well!
Yes, may the pipeline of recruiting victories over Air Force, Army, Ball State and Buffalo keep flowing.
Is listed as a WDE, but has the look and profile of a SDE or DT, which is great. If he's really 250 a year away from HS graduation, he's not a WDE in college unless he has elite athleticism, and I don't see that.
Why recruit DTs when you can keep transforming unathletic scrub DEs into undersized DTs? It’s worked out great for them so far.

So that’s the summary of the positive: NJ pipeline and maybe he’ll be a decent DT.

Now to the broken segment of the fanbase.

Generic 3 star. Wooooo this how we gonna Beat OSU

Trust the coaches. They know how to lose by 40 points to our biggest rival. Great get.

Aaaaaaaand back to the koolaid-

I know we're not allowed to be positive about anything right now but after some light viewing of his Hudl highlights, this kid has some twitch to him. I can dig it. Brown can pluck a good DE out of the Northeast every once in a while.
Some twitch! I guess it’s a positive he doesn’t look terrible in his own highlight tape.

But wait, is that NFL potential we see in the kid with offers from Air Force, Army, Ball State and Buffalo? If nothing else, Michigan has been noted for their stellar player development.

I watched his tape and I like him.

Barring some absurd growth his senior season, he'll need a year (redshirt) or two to refine technique but I project him to be a very productive college player with a legit chance to be an eventual Sunday player.

If his current size (weight/height) is accurate then he has good frame for adding a lot of muscle and becoming a SDE.

A potential NFL talent (who needs a few years to make the college transition) who looks good in his own highlight tape!

Or he might get dropped from the class.

Sort of off topic, Harbaugh has been known to take commitments from guys who need to continue to improve to be a part of the class (I’m not saying that’s necessarily the case here), but what will they do if there’s no football this year and they don’t get a chance to prove it? Will they receive a LOI to sign or be encouraged to sign elsewhere?

Fun trivia for the morning as we contemplate how well Michigan is going to develop a sub #1000 level DL recruit...

20 solo, 18 assisted, 38 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks

14 solo, 10 assisted, 24 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks

What stat line is Zach Harrison as a true freshman and what stat line is Rashan Gary as a junior?

But, but, but, other teams quadruple teamed Gary and schemed everything to go away from him.

OHIO STATE FOOTBALL 56, MICHIGAN 27

2019 was supposed to be Jim Harbaugh's (and Michigan's) year.

The Buckeyes were replacing their hall-of-fame head coach with a first-year head coach. They also had to find a new quarterback after Dwayne Haskins rewrote every school and conference passing record the previous year. And on top of that, the game was scheduled to take place in Ann Arbor against a Wolverines team led by multi-year senior starter Shea Patterson.

But it was decidedly not Harbaugh's year. Day and the Buckeyes marched into Michigan Stadium and dominated from start to finish, piling up 577 yards of total offense on Don Brown's defense. Justin Fields was red hot and threw four touchdowns as Ohio State hit pay dirt on six of its first seven drives. Dobbins was sensational as well, running the ball 31 times for 211 yards and four touchdowns.

What is with the "Michin"? Is that some sort of new trademark that scUM is adopting, or is this how one of their brainiac, 3-star Michigan Men spell? Either way, it's ridiculous!

I think it’s a shorthand combination of “Michigan” and “On a Mission” (see the smaller words to the left). It is stupid.
