If UM was a knight of the round table:

“Sir Robin the - not - quite - so - brave - as - Sir Lancelot, who had nearly fought the Dragon of Angnor, who had nearly stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol, and who had personally wet himself at the Battle of Badon Hill!"

There are 3 threads on the UM board right now that define the state of Michigan football:

"Shea nearly starts"

"Butt nearly scores a TD"

"Jabrill nearly houses a punt"

All they have left are things that "nearly" happened.

Those who stay will nearly be champions
If it weren’t for the 4 best teams on their schedule they’d consistently have better records than 9-4. It’s science.

Sir McCaffrey stated his favorite color was blue, then appeared to question his choice. Not a good omen.

I’m sure their *checks notes* highly mediocre recruiting will inject the talent they need to bounce right back next year.

The sentiment seems to be that losing everyone is ok because it gives "a free year of preparation" for the whos knowns they throw in. Because its not going to be the exact same for everyone else.......
