And now zero fans in the stands, let alone a White Out.Only game on that schedule that concerned me was PSU - but without Parsons - meh.
Interdasting that they've chosen to start the season on time. It's kind of going to knock the legs out from any force majeure argument for getting out of the contracts for the payday games if the schools are still playing on the same dates.
I'm no lawyer, but I suspect that, if nothing else, the 8-figure hit all of the P5 schools are taking will be enough. And when you consider all of the reasons for conference-only that were bandied about on this board, it seems to me that there were significant issues in play whose importance dwarfs those contracts.
May main reason for expecting that the G5 schools won't be winning any lawsuits any time soon is not based on the above; it's based on the fact that the B1G member schools all have lawyers and they all agreed to start the season on time. Your concern seems to me to be worth considering, and I bet they did consider it. And they chose to start on time anyway. I think there's very little chance they would've done so if they thought that it would be the difference in any lawsuits from the BGs and Buffalos of the world.
