2020-2021 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

Gonzaga is good but I think someone will beat them in the tournament. I think their lack of an inside defensive presence will end up killing them.
I’d be interested in a team like Purdue being a nightmare for them. Painter’s Boilers can dig in on defense and then eat you alive with Trevion Williams and now Zach Edey (giant) coming on down low.

Maybe they run them out of the gym but off the top of my head that’s a decent middle level type team that could make their interior pay.

I’m on record as thinking Gonzaga is the best in America and will win, but yeah. No one is unbeatable, especially this time of year.

I’ve seen 2 dozen of those the last month watching college ball. I don’t understand. Every one thinks they’re Bryce Drew now. Or no one practices that situation.

Assuming no one practices. The way people defend it to you’re much better off with 2+ seconds trying to get someone on the run and maybe 1 dribble.

Gambling buddy of mine laid some money on Syracuse for the ACC tournament at 50-1 odds. Said it was worth a shot for a talented team, playing on the bubble and in a wide open field.

After their first game today, smoking NC State by 20+, I’m wondering if I should have joined him.

You shouldn't have.
