2020-2021 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

Thinking about how much some posters here would be complaining about empty possessions between both these teams (both top ~10 in O efficiency), because they don’t score or run “plays” on every trip down.

Good game so far between WVU/Baylor.

35-31 BU at half.

WVU gave away 3 points before half. Had ball out of bounds on baseline with 1.4 seconds. It was a set ball. Guy moves to inbound, violation, Baylor ball and they dial up a corner 3. Woof.

I really don’t understand the long-tosses anymore...2.1 seconds isn’t a lot but it sure as heck is time for a couple dribbles or a pass. You don’t need the ball caught for a layup.

Go watch UVA/Purdue from 2 years ago. After the missed tipped FT that PG had the ball with like 3 seconds facing the wrong way, he dribbled, passed and the UVA big hit a 15 footer to force OT.

I’ve watched dozens of games where teams don’t even get a shot this season. I’d at least rather take my chances with a half court shot.
