MSU getting pounded at Rutgers. This Sparty team is the worst Izzo has had, IMO. Could be on the verge of a slide and missing the tournament. I remember the Drew Neitzel team that was a lower seed in the tournament as well as the 2011 Sparty crew that underachieved to a #10 seed, and I think this group has less going for them than either of those teams.

So who has the longest winning streak in D-I college hoops? The Winthrop Eagles of the Big South.

21 straight going back to last season, 16-0 this season after beating UNC-Asheville.

I'll always remember Winthrop for knocking off Notre Dame as an 11-seed in March Madness 2007. I was in Vegas for that one. Good times. :lol:

They have had some absences but the bigger issue is Winston and Tillman were truly excellent college players. You need some real talent to replace those guys and not have a drop, and the ones they have just aren't ready to execute at the level they need to. In fairness, Sparty had not played in 20 days before today. That being said, they scored a 10-year low 37 points and shot terribly. Just looks like a bad team right now.
