It's not the just 20 extra running yards, it's when he got those 20 yards. Duh.In the past, I’ve said that QBR is a stat invented but ESPN and that it was created to serve their own purposes and to not give it any credit. I haven’t seen their ‘formula’, which I believe includes fudge factors to benefit SEC teams.
Here are stats and QBR numbers from last night:
Spencer Rattler.....14 of 23, 247 yards, 3 TDS, 0 Int, 06 rushes for 40 yards, 1 TD... QBR=76.6
Emory Jones..........8 of 16, 086 yards, 0 TDs, 0 Int, 10 rushes for 60 yards, 1 TD... QBR=92.4
How in the Hell do those numbers make any sense? As I’ve said, never use QBR when talking about college football, it’s a scam stat created by ESPN. Use the NCAA’s passing efficiency stats.
