2019 tOSU Offense (Official Thread)

Fields is only going someplace where he can start, he's not going some place where he might be able to start. Day is telling him at the very least that he should expect to start if he comes in and practices hard

This... Fields will transfer to a school where he can immediately start. Who knows what Day is telling him, but I don't think Fields would consider OSU if he thought he'd sit.

Really, really hoping Myers can lock down center. If MJ somehow returns, having Jordan/Myers/Davis up the middle of the line makes me happy. Munford at LT, NPF at RT (or Alabi), and that line is better then this years line.

Jordan is at guard is the one domino that rejuvenates the line, but all depends if Myers is ready.....sounds like he will be.

Ward name drops Mike Yurcich, OC and QB coach at Oklahoma State as a name Day has reached out to. Yurcich is a Euclid native.

Interesting follow up to this tweet from Adam Rittenberg of ESPN. The note about Wilson’s OL experience couldn’t have been on accident. Could we see Stud get forced out and see Wilson add/shift OL coach to his OC responsibilities? Would still require a 10th coach.

I find it hilarious that people think Day is promising Fields a starting spot, and Fields would only consider places where he will start. I guess that is why he chose UGa first, since guaranteed playing time is so important LMAO. And any coach that promises an outsider playing time has no business leading OSU. Including incoming Frosh unless the situation is so dire that we have zero on the depth chart. Urban never promised anyone they would play, he promised a chance to compete, end of story. A coach should never promise someone playing time.

Re: Multiple sources have indicated to Lettermen Row that Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich is a name to watch for the Buckeyes once the Rose Bowl is in the rearview mirror and Day gets to work on putting his imprint on the staff.

Just sayin': I didn't see where the article said that Day has actually "reached out" to Yurich.

Day/Wilson/Yurcich seems like a lot of cooks in the kitchen.
No way...they just have to execute a game plan.

As for the defense having changes? Thank god.

If I'm Ryan Day I would attack the defensive side of the ball so hard. Everyday it would be about getting better on defense. Every. DAY.

We know our offense will be nasty with how much we have coming back and either Tate/Baldwin/Fields? Running the show.

Damn just have a competent defense and who's going to stop us?

okie state fans would be giddy if we took yurcich off their hands. they hate him. he's universally regarded by the fanbase as a pathetic and predictable play caller with little creativity, as well as a poor developer of talent. and they think he's a terrible recruiter. in other words, tim beck 2.0.

doesn't seem to be an issue when things are rollin'. All 3 can share the credit for all I care. It's when things aren't going well and the blame game starts. And that's the issue with the defense. Too many deficiencies on the defensive side of the ball and it's difficult to point at just one coach.
