2019 B1G season discussion

I didn't see a thread for this and the '19 B1G season is now in full gear.

Week 7 coming up, here are the games that matter for OSU and early lines;

tsun -20 at Illinois.

Wisky -10 vs Sparty

Pedsters -3 at Iowa at night


Part of me thinks Sparty is going to be beat up and emotionally spent thereby ending up on the wrong end of a Madison train ride.

I'm not sure tsun can score 20 on air but Illinois is horrible.

Pedsters could be on full upset alert but sweet blue baby jesus is the Iowa offense, and QB, bad.

You might be right. The Illinois D could hold scUM to around 20-24 points, but I don't see how they're going to score much against scUM if they couldn't score an offensive TD against the Boat Rowers.

That's rough. I think Wisky beats them 9 times out of 10 anyway, but back-to-back is brutal.
I can't see Iowa hanging, but Ferentz usually gets 1 a year.

Minnesota also hosts Corn. This looks like an elimination game for the darkhorse teams still in it... winner still has Iowa and Wisconsin to deal with.

Now that Georgia has lost, I'm sure the networks will start talking about the possibility of 3 B1G teams in the playoff. It's not the best scenario for the Buckeyes, but if the Buckeyes beat Wiscy, lose to Penn St, and then Wiscy wins the title in Indy, the 3 teams could each have only 1 loss, all to each other.

If Clemson and Oklahoma lose, and there's only 1 SEC team with less than 2 losses, it's a possibility that the 3 B1G teams would each deserve a playoff spot.

Of course espn won't talk about it.
