2019-2020 College Basketball Discussion (Official Thread)

this is good news for ohio state. we'll have the upper hand since few teams can match our experience in playing in front of dead crowds.

If they don't televise it then just cancel the fucking thing.

Maybe we should all stay home from work, too? Close the stores - too many people go to them! :roll1:

They are saying media at the game not the crew that does the TV. That will go on because of the money. They won't play and not have TV.

This sucks big time though. Won't be the same.

Well I would say it is an advantage for OSU moreso for the Round of 64 when it is inevitable that the crowd will root for the underdog (not OSU). But the only times I ever thought an NCAA tourney crowd was on OSU's side in the tournament over the last 8 years dates back to the 2013 game vs Wichita St in Los Angeles, and I only attributed that to WSU having a tiny fan base. Of course, the 2013 games in Dayton vs Iona and Iowa St were pro-OSU crowds also. But man it has been a long time since an NCAA tournament crowd was louder for OSU than their opponent.

Invariably, this year if OSU were to be a 5 seed playing a few states or more away, the crowd was certainly not going to be helping the Buckeyes this season.
