It's actually 4 for Minny (1936; 1940; 1941; 1960) vs 2 for scUM (1948; 1997).

But right now, Minny is the better program and the better destination. I hope Fleck stays there for a while.

IMO no one prepares you for Lawrence, although I get your point. B10 needs to step it up in the QB department.

I think the D did well against his passing, it's just hard to deal with them using him as JT Barrett. Didn't expect that many runs.

They blatantly stated they would run him. All the film said that they would run him.

How did you or I or anyone not expect him to run it?

I expected him to run it, especially after Pedo State's back up had success running it against us.

the early part of the game, at least, Virginia was able to move the ball well, they just could not stop Clemson at all on offense. I expect Clemson to look at the PSU and Wiscy games for their ideas and the way the PSU backup QB and Coan were able to run up the gut on designed draws and busted plays. Lawrence is a lot stronger than either of those guys. I like our chances to limit their other weapons, although I expect they will score on our defense, but if we can pressure Lawrence without overrunning him, we should be in good shape. I think Fields being 100% and able to run some is going to be critical if we are going to win.

All B1G top teams save for Ped lost their bowl games by giving it away. Not a good look. But, as ORD said, it really doesn't matter. No amount of wins will change the narrative when money is involved.
