2018 Week 14 CFB Open Thread

Nick Saban is 67 years old. He doesn't need the SEC "looking strong" with his resume'. He doesn't have to help Georgia to help himself. He helps himself the way he always has - by dominating his opponent, his conference, and the rest of college football. Throwing a CCG doesn't further his cause.

The funniest part about this tinfoil hat stuff is it wouldn't be happening if the Bucks didn't shit the bed at Purdue. That's what it's all about - we're probably not going to the CFP, so there has to be a reason. The reason is Purdue 49, Ohio State 20, whether we think it's fair or not.
What's funny is: you'll buy the refs are sharing the games...... but never the coaches?

Sure, Saban is a great coach, but especially when it comes to recruiting, a strong looking SEC makes it easier for him. Look at Swinney..... "Hey, kid..... wanna play ACC football? The b-ball tickets are primo....."

If you don't think the SEC having 2 teams in the playoffs hurts tOSU recruiting, why wouldn't it?

Would Saban do it? I dunno..... I don't, but I see advantages.

That would be ridiculous. They players are playing as hard as they can, coaches want to win. Just saying the refs were instructed to give a slight edge to Georgia. Also Oklahoma so they can get a playoff spot. Probably OSU (They don't want NW in the Rose Bowl). Not blatant, just give an edge.

I guess the refs in THE GAME didn't get the memo, since scUM had the inside track to a CFP spot with a win. Surely they could've called back Campbell's 78 yard run with a phantom holding call, or any other score.

If I thought refs were being "instructed" to give one team an edge I'd just go watch WWE where they admit the matches are scripted. I can't imagine why anyone would waste so much time here if they actually believed that.

I dont know about anyone else, but every time I saw that OU defense all I could think about is 500 yards from Dwayne Haskins.

We lay peter tracks all over that conference. Absolute garbage.

Eat shit about Bama in regardless

When its obvious who is better there's not much refs can do... that said they still flagged OSU for 120+yardd

Ahhhh, I see. The Buckeyes were just so fucking dominant even the refs couldn't stop them. It's too bad the refs couldn't stop Purdue, since them beating Ohio State hurt the B1G. Hard to believe the puppet masters would allow that to happen.

Can't fucking stand the free pass bullshit that the SEC gets. Already have a friend (ND fan, so he could care less if they both get in) saying its going to happen and will be a great reason they'll go to 8 teams. Sure, in 3 years. Why would anyone be interested in the same tired bs that happens every year and gives the teams and the conference extra chances at titles. Fuck this shit.

Nothing on the line for that game...

Why no false start on OU on 4th an 1? They go on to convert and score a TD.

Why no illegal formation? Resulting in another OU TD.

If you don't think conferences give teams some help so their conference benefits ur blind man.

Georgia loses they drop to 5. Clemson loses they drop to 6. Would see a Bama, Domer, OU, Buckeye playoff. Would be interdasting and unlikely.

It won't happen, but if I am in the committee, there is no way I would move ND up for not playing in a week where everyone else is. If the impossible were to happen and Clemson loses and Bama wins, I would place 1. Bama 2. OU, 3. OSU, 4. ND
