2018 NFL Draft Talk Thread

A partial pec tear is completely different than a player with both complete ACL and LCL tears. And that "meaningless" bowl game cost Jaylon Smith 15 million dollars.
And whose to say he would have stepped wrong when running the 40 and tearing his ACL? It was a fluke that can happen during a game or during training, or walking down the sidewalk.

During a game, yes. (Hence, the reason he skipped it). Having worked with multiple occupational therapists, that type of fluke is likely to happen to a 50 year old person in a sedentary lifestyle. Not a 20 year old athlete.

Good OL draft, not sure about defense. Outside of Chubb and maybe Smith, the lb from Georgia, i don't see many slam dunks. Might be a lot of "solid" players, but not seeing many "stars."
Agreed. Statistically speaking, yeah some of these guys are going to end up being stars, but the pre-draft evaluations and seeing some of these names, the margins seem so small that anyone vehemently claiming "future superstar" is just hoping.

Also, has there ever been a freak injury at the Combine involving a potential top 10 draft pick? None come to mind. Actually getting injured in a REAL game is 1000% more likely to happen than that scenario, IMO.
