2018-2019 B1G Men's Basketball (Official Thread)

iowa may be my sleeper team to make it at least to the elite eight. their defense inside the arc could be better, but they have everything else needed to make a deep run. best of all, they're clutch in the final minutes.
Uh, I was actually thinking they would be a good pick to be upset in the first round considering they routinely barely manage to beat less-than-NCAA tournament-quality teams, but on the other hand, there are usually a lot of improbable results in the tournament.

hence "sleeper." and a sleeper pick losing in the first round shouldn't exactly be all that surprising. it's kind of what makes a sleeper a sleeper.

regardless, the wins versus ttun (by 15) and iowa state are still impressive. most of what i like about iowa is their performance and record in close games. that's the kind of mettle you want in a team come tournament time. what i don't like about them is their 2-point defense (as stated) and their lack of tournament experience.
