This is the first year of 20 league games for the B1G. I think overall the extra league games is, for bubble teams, having the effect of hurting the chances of making the NCAA tourney, or even the NIT for more marginal teams. I see a handful of teams with good nonconference records and yet losses are piling up in conference play and making it a bit harder for the borderline teams to make the postseason tournament that in prior years they would be in a good position for.
