Gonna guess on the final clock killing drive they decide to throw it on a 2nd down after not picking up enough yards when they need a 1st down to finally run it out. Instead of throwing a screen or quick hitter in the middle, Lewerke throws it to a longer route and it gets picked off and returned for a TD and PAT.
