while true, had the refs called it correctly, it would have been a dead-ball false start. the net result would have more or less been the same. the call -- or, should i say, non-call -- of the game for me was the missed facemask. it should have been 1st down at about the bama 35. instead, bama gets a stop and scores on the ensuing possession.
