Final thoughts on the game: It was frustrating to watch the offense in the 2nd half, but fantastic to watch the D. Maybe they'll discuss it in interviews, etc. but I can't imagine the coaches didn't have a lot more planned for the offense. They just decided to shut down the O and force Darnold to beat them with his arm. Risky, and annoying to watch, but it was the right decision and this defense strangled the life out of USC.

Anyway, great season. I had thoughts early on that they could make some huge strides and become what the 2014 team was, but as good as this team is, it did not have that extra gear. Sometimes that's just how it is. Argue that this or that held them back, but the team hit its ceiling against PSU, which was an amazing, unbelievable comeback. It also made it very clear that even after a bye, this team was never going to eliminate the sloppiness and lack of focus that plagued them in both big wins and big losses.

After Iowa I was just hoping for a shot at a conference title, and they more than delivered for themselves and the fans. 12-2, spanked TSUN, conference title, dominant win over a good USC team. Everyone wants NCs obviously, but that's a fucking great year. I can't remember any better non-NC seasons in the last 25 years.

Time to celebrate, take a breathe, re-watch some highlights and think about next year. It'll be very interesting to see what happens with the offense, but I'm very excited with who will most likely be coming back. Go Bucks and happy New Year!
