2017 College Football Thread

really hate the scheduling of next week's games.

thursday: nothingburger
friday: snoozer
saturday at 12: boring
saturday at 3:30: yawn
saturday at 5ish: meh
saturday primetime: oklahoma @ osu - auburn @ clemson - georgia @ notre dame - stanford @ usc

as buckeye fans, we'll pretty much get to see this of next week's good games (except for ours, of course): first half of the first quarter of aub/clemson, none of uga/nd, and the fourth quarter of stanford/usc.

Was a strange week 1 from my sofa. No Verne. No Brent.

Mark Helfrich was fantastic on the ESPN Megacast and the FS1 Saturday game. If he stays in broadcasting he's going to be a top color-guy in a very, very short time.

I'll only see one game as I'll be at the Shoe.

Even though they were up early. Oh well. They'll be calling for Anderson's head in Corvallis. (Still--the Rams have the makings of a very good non--power five team.)

Man, did Urban Meyer ruin this guy's career....

This could probably go in the Bert Bielema thread as well....

I bumped the coaching thread as well, but something is amiss here re: his buyout numbers.
They're reporting here he is just walking away. He literally took the job sight unseen--didn't even visit Corvallis. Unlike Eugene it is not a hip small college town. It is very difficult to recruit and the fanbase is sick of being the Duck's bitch. Doesn't bode well for his career though,
