2017 College Football Playoffs (and Other Bowl Games)

If the domers beat Miami and win out, they'll get the unofficial ACC spot. Unless the committee really wants to stand up to the press and espn and make a "join the damned conference" statement to ND, it's going to happen.

Assuming no upsets, it's going to go down like this.

Bama-UGA winner
Ohio State-Wiscy winner
Domers
Okie

PAC is getting left out, and Clemson needs either Miami to beat the domers or OU & Washington to get a second loss.

In that scenario OU and Clemson will be in a beauty contest with the Bama/UGA loser, hell even the Domers might be in trouble if it comes down to them and a 1 loss UGA

I think Clemson gets in over Notre Dame should both win out. Clemson could make the argument that they beat Syracuse with Bryant healthy and playing even if they looked bad for most of the game. Plus they have an ACC Championship to fall back on.

1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Ohio State
4. ND

No way they throw Clemson up 3 spots for beating Ga Tech after we beat the #2 team. ND will eventually not have a great strength of schedule the way I look at it.

NC State is about to have their 3rd loss of the year coming up and USC will at least lose to Washington IMO to give them a 3rd loss. You couple that with MSU about to go on a 3 game losing streak and their "marque wins" go to shit pretty quick.

I HOPE we are like 5th though because I think our team would get a little ticked from that. Would kind of Jolt them back to reality that there is work to do.

Oklahoma fans would just love your top 4.

They are not using the current polls as a starting point, there's no basis for how they compared OSU and Clemson prior to this last weekend.

I don't get the people who think that Clemson would get in over Ohio State.....i've seen a lot of it on the internet.

Clemson easily has the worst loss of the 1 loss teams. Yea their QB got hurt but he played a good chunk of that game, you should still be able to beat a .500 Syracuse squad. The ACC is also "meh" at best this year with FSU and Louisville both nose diving. (Miami and Va Tech have good records, but is anyone really buying them as being legit national players?)

Clemson is not getting in over ND either if both win out.

Clemson w/their backup qb lost to 4-4 Syracuse 27-24, giving up 440 yards on defense !!! 1st downs 28-16 Syracuse.

2014 Ohio State w/their third string qb beat 10-2 Wisky 59-0. Wisky's two losses to LSU/NW by 4 and 6 pts. respectively.

Yielding back the balance of my time ...
