Allen may end up being [Mark May], but some kid named Ben Roethlisberger didn't look so hot against Iowa losing 21-3 in 2003. Sometimes, the supporting cast comes into play.

Iowa was a top 10 team in 2003 with a strong defense. I doubt either Oregon or Iowa will be that good this year. Plus, Ben put up big stats against MAC competition. Allen's stats have been pretty terrible for a top 5 pick

Alex - unless he's completely given up. I think Nutria kinda knew this LSU team wasn't all that great. Losing to NIU and looking extremely awful doing so for Nebraska had to be infuriating.

The point is, measuring a small school QB based on team results versus bigger competition isn't exactly a science. Last I checked, Allen isn't "a top 5 pick" yet either.
