The main excuse for the SEC! performance was going to be that the SEC matchups were tilted against them because they had two teams in the playoff while the B1G had favorable matchups by not having a playoff team. SEC! getting blown the fuck out flushes that argument right down the toilet.

It’s almost Auburn-esque? A lot of window dressing for the same plays and a lot of misdirection thrown in for good measure.

When Baker passes it's 75% of the time off misdirection and play action. Sprinkle in some pulls to suck up the linebackers and safeties. Any type of straight drop comes only after the interior running game gets moving and the defense has to give clear 1 on 1 to the outside. Even then it's mainly only high percentage passes.

Mayfield dropping back off play action and driving the ball down field using NFL concepts is.... non existent in this offense. Typical Big 12 in every sense of the word.
