I'm seeing some whining about officials on the Wisconsin 247 site. And, of course, on the BWI site. But no one is surprised by that.
Anyway, other than on that last drive, did Wisconsin EVER get called for holding?

Agreed. At 35 it’s the little things in life that get me going...fucking my wife, watching my two year old son spear my other two into the ground with his football gear on, and winning Big ten titles.

dobbins: 17 carries for 174 yards
barrett: 19 carries for 60 yards

edit: this is not a shot at barrett. this is a shot at another example of curious playcalling that has hamstrung our offense in multiple big games.

Eh we play Bama this week and I think we run them over and their QB isn't much of a password either. If we waited till their D was fully healthy I'd be a lot more worried.

Exactly. The offense did the team no favors, but Wisconsin would have been absolutely buried with constant 3rd and 30s if they actually called some of the bullshit Wisconsin was pulling in attempts to slow down that pass rush.

Every year since the LSU loss until 2014, we had to contend with perceived inferiority on both the recruiting trail and in rankings. Just look at 2014 - we just barely snuck into the playoffs, and people were furious.

Face it - perception matters a lot, and I absolutely do not want to go through that period again. You guys who live in Ohio might not recognize it, since you're surrounded by Buckeye fans, but it's very clear to those who live elsewhere.

We get blown out again, and there's a great chance we don't get in the playoffs in a year where we truly deserve it.

I assume that in other parts of the country they think we are overrated, just like I think Texas, Notre Dame and USC are overrated every year. I could give a fuck what somebody in Mississippi thinks about Ohio State.

so you're already conceding a game that's a month away? There's still a chance we win that grand prize until our name's not on that list tomorrow, or the clock reaches 0s in January and we're on teh wrong side of the scoreboard.
