2016 CFB Week 3 Open Thread

What the hell did they do to get 3 PFs?

Not sure, but now you have me curious.

Edit: I see there was a pick six followed by a personal foul and a roughing the kicker. Still looking for more info.

This doesn't fully explain it...

What happens when you have three dead ball penalties after a touchdown? A kickoff from the other 20-yard line, of course.

After a pick-six gave Eastern Michigan a 34–6 lead over Charlotte in the third quarter on Saturday, the penalties forced the school to move all the way up, nearly to the end zone, to kick. The Egales decided to go for an onside kick, being so close, but were unsuccessful.

Edit 2: Every article I can find just says three PFs and doesn't specify. I got the above info in the first edit from ESPN which just shows the two that I mentioned, which is a personal foul (unspecified) and roughing the kicker.

i just read that every single 4 year college from the state of Mississippi lost this weekend. a combined 0-10.

i don't know if that's a record or not, but i'm pretty sure that's grounds for dismissal from the country or something.

can we at least kick them out of the south and let someone else have them for a while?

Nobody wants 'em.

I didn't read much of this thread. I'm sure lots has been said about Lamar Jackson and Lville. It was hard to not be in awe of that QB. The Seminoles couldn't touch him, let alone tackle him. The Card's D was playing angry. It was impressive.

I think Jackson has 2 weaknesses. One, I doubt he could spell our QBs name (JT) so if a defense could keep him contained in a pocket, I'd like to see what his decision-making looks like. Two, he is not very big. At some point a D1 athlete is get a bead on him and might break him on two. I can't see him lasting the season as much as he runs the ball. But until then, I'm going to enjoy him doing his thing. Incredibly gifted athlete.

I'm pretty sure you added a 0 there by mistake... isn't it really 0-1?
