No bowl games on New year's day is utter horse[Mark May].

New Year's Eve night results aside, this whole New Year's has felt warped and displaced. Kept thinking all day Sunday--I'm supposed to be drinking egg nog and watching the Rose Parade, and then bowl games. Instead, nada. It's like we skipped New Year's Day. Very disorienting. And, probably fitting, given that other anomaly. Did not like (either one).

Especially with completely meaningless pro games.

It turned out to be a largely anticlimactic final weekend in the NFL, but they were never going to schedule against it. The weirdest part to me is having the CFP games, then 4 more bowls 2 days later.
