2016-2017 College Basketball Discussion

I was looking at bracketology this morning.

How is fucking Syracuse anywhere near the tourney? Lunardi has them in at the moment

RPI - 82

5 losses to the RPI 100+

Zero quality road or neutral site wins

1 and done in the ACC tourney.

Kansas just lost to TCU of one of the dumbest fouls i've ever seen

Tie game with under 10 seconds left....TCU PG drives in and kicks it to the corner to a guy for 3. Kansas defender plows into him with 2 seconds left. 3 FTs, all good. TCU wins.

Duke vs Notre Dame in the ACC title game. I'll pass, thank you.

The Ivy League finally succumbs and has their first conference tournament. It only includes the top 4 finishers. If I'm 14-0 Princeton I'm pissed, having to play 4th place Penn on the Quakers' home floor. Yale-Harvard is the other semi.

and right on cue Princeton loses

does that mean they won't get into the NCAA tourney now?

EDIT

Disregard, the fucking online score was backwards

Should be a good crowd in Cleveland for the MAC final as top seed Akron battle 6th seed upstart Kent State for the trophy.

John Thompson III out at Georgetown.

http://www.si.com/college-basketbal...n-hoyas-john-thompson-iii-coach-fired-resigns

His tenure got off to a great start; knocked of a 2-seed Buckeye team in his second year, got to the Final-4 in year three (losing to eventual runner-up tOSU), and went 28-6 in year four. Made the tourney in seven of his first nine years. But has fallen on hard times recently; just one tourney in his last four years, 69-62 overall record, including just 15-18 & 14-18 the last two seasons.

As a Georgetown alum, I can tell you that I will be consuming a stupid amount of alcohol tonight in celebration of this (long overdue) move.

I will also be drowning my sorrows if the Tommy Amaker to Georgetown rumors are true.

Either way, I drink.

He'd get to coach at OSU for a couple more years.
