2015 Sugar Bowl Less Civilized Thread (Arguments/Shenanigans)

I came here to discuss football, buckeyeintn, and Jaxbuck wanted to call me a troll for visiting " his site." He's a damn jerk and YOU know it too. So, I got tired of his insults and returned fire.
You were also told there was a legitimate game thread and encouraged to post there if you truly wanted to talk football. Instead you chose to stay in this thread and engage in a pissing contest instead of talking about the game in the other thread. Methinks you're engaging in the type of conversation you want to. Don't bother with your victim mentality.

and the fact you are still in this thread and not the other one tells me you are here for that very reason

Exactly, as I was wondering why several of the "serious" posters are still here? Rhetorical question. Someone mentioned early in this thread just avoid the trolls. Easier said than done, eh. I've found the only true way to avoid trolls at a particular site is to stop posting at said site.

The problem this thread is having is the same problem the teams will have ~ too much dead time. The game has a good chance of being anti-climatic. On one hand the bowl games are a reward for a good season, but then you have to put in "extra" work to try to win the game, sometimes after a (5) week delay.

ok, what was my original point  hmm, it's easy to ramble after a couple minutes, imagine a college football player after 4/5 weeks of not playin'.

Meyer is 7-2 in bowl games ~ 2-0 in BCS championships/Saban is 8-7 in bowl games ~ 3-0 in BCS championships.

Both Meyer and Saban had the same problem last year ie motivation after a disappointing end to their regular seasons.

he's responding to jerks invading his buckeye board insulting and derailing the conversation.

Since some continue to struggle with what flies here, I'll repeat myself again:

1) Grow some thick skin. You are on someone else's turf and observing or enduring harshness towards Bama does not give you a green light yo do the same, especially not when the initial spat was not directed at you.

2) If you're actually interested in civilized dialogue, then make an effort to partake in that instead of harping on the scandalous other nonsense. Altie has made it quite clear what he's interested in.

3) this thread was going fine until altie's pathetic need for attention derailed the dialogue. Then Bamu went off the deep end a few more times.

I would in all seriousness like to apologize.

Truckers at any truck stop on I-20, if you have come off the road after a hard days work just looking to get cleaned up and have encountered an unclean bathroom it's our fault and we apologize. We have gone and attracted all the kids who's job it is to clean those rooms here and for that we at BP are truly sorry.

Roll Tide
...and please still enjoy the glory hole, despite the untidiness.

Yeah, pretty much doing my civic duty and giving them something to stay here for. Hopefully they'll leave the actual football thread alone.

Everything X and O has been discussed over there I think and the non trolling Bama fans have been great.

3+ weeks is just too much
