2015 Sugar Bowl Less Civilized Thread (Arguments/Shenanigans)

With CAD it's the journey, not the final destination that's important. And I'd be worried if indeed, he actually is trying. ok, that's a lie.

Whoever you are, my actions are limited here. Their mods have quick ban-hands and are very protective of their special little flock. And, from what I've seen of the intellect of the posters here, they need protecting.

Naturally, I can't fully function while having my wings snipped at just the slightest provocation.

Thanks, Erin. Er, I mean Sam. You have to admire the work Saban has done since that setback against Ole Miss. It's just a battle in the SEC West every week and Alabama always gets everyone's best game.

Kirk, I agree. You know, Nick Saban used to coach here at Michigan State. He went 34-24-1 over five seasons, winning no bowl games or conference titles. You know, these Spartans are pretty good nowadays. Better than they were then, eh?

And tonight they're facing an Ohio State team aiming to break its own record for consecutive wins in Big Ten regular season games, which is currently at 20. Plenty of SEC-type players on both of these te-

Excuse me Chris, but I have to interject here. How hard could beating 20 Big Ten teams in a row possibly be?

Nick Saban's longest Big Ten winning streak was [looks down at paper] three games.

If the bolded statement was true I would have been banned 30,000 posts and 8 years ago

He isn't a man to lead others and can only sustain success in short time periods.

ok, I'll play along w/CAD's inane Meyer/Saban comparison ...

Saban Head coaching record

Indeed, one could easily argue Mark Dantonio has done a better job at Michigan State and the Miami Dolphins probably would argue Saban's leadership and sustained success. But no doubt Saban has led the Tide to the promised land. Maybe Alabama's football reputation of success and commitment to excellence is figured into the equation as well. Which would also apply to Meyer and OSU's football history.

CAD's absurd post aside, I still think 'Bama will win, but I like OSU being an underdog. The past 50 years the Buckeyes have always had a problem being the favorite, the underdog, not so much. :urban2:

He did pretty damn good at Michigan State, didn't he? I'm not too familiar with his tenure there but, I have heard he was regularly beating the OSU's, ND's, Michigan's, etc...
6-5-1
6-6
7-5
6-6
9-2

This was essentially identical to the first five years under Perles.

Dantonio's first five years (starting from a much lower point than Nick)

7-6
9-4
6-7
11-2
11-3

And yet you keep returning ?!? btw, how many times have you been banned? Rhetorical. Indeed, CAD is the perfect example of a wannabe troll ... from about (30) years ago. Maybe you should wing your way down south again where they probably have no use for you as well  which is why you're still here, eh.

But that surely didn't stop you from making posts proclaiming his success there....you'd think one of your cut and paste screeds would have covered St. Nick's time at Sparty, eh?

When someone says cut and paste, in the context of sports message boards, it automatically comes off as an insinuation of trickery or lack of one's own thoughts.

The "cut and paste" that made so many of you flip your silly shit was my stuff. I need you to be clear about that from here on out, okay?

And in your case, it's an accurate statement.

The "cut and paste" that made so many of you flip your silly [Mark May] was my stuff. I need you to be clear about that from here on out, okay?

Someone needs to reboot the trollbot again.
