2015 Sugar Bowl Less Civilized Thread (Arguments/Shenanigans)

I'm not a frequent participant in this thread, but this was pretty good:

Best part is that Rob Lowe is a Buckeye.

Uncivilized thread right?

Most of your girlfriends and wives have just missed their period and are a little nervous. Next September its a Yankee baby boom (we're from Ohio, not the northeast, why do they call us Yankees?). Texas and Oregon women are next. Just sayin'.

Did anybody watch Finebaum Film Room?

For those who don't know, SEC Network did a simulcast of the game with Finebaum, Greg McElroy and some dude named Booger (no shit) watching the game, making remarks, and taking phone calls. It's obviously a homer show, but the guys in the studio mostly acknowledged when Ohio State was doing things well.

Anyway, I DVRed it and am watching it right now. Phyllis already called when the score was 14-6 and took a victory lap. I hope she calls back. Just got to the point where Evan Spencer threw the TD pas and the torches and pitchforks have started to come out. Booger is just sitting there laughing at the guy who called in to light up Bama's defense.

This show is genius and I love where it is headed.

I was trying to find a copy of it somewhere yesterday, but no luck.

Greg McElroy was calling for a timeout before the snap on the Steve Miller pick-six.

That's fucking funny.

It's also pretty good real-time analysis though and something you rarely hear from color commentators. He needs to get better at filling air time, but he sounds like he has a future doing actual commentary instead of being on this clown show.

Lots of good X's & O's talk by the studio guys - particularly where it concerns small defensive adjustments made by Ohio State. Color me surprised - in that respect it's a cut above what you typically get in a game broadcast. I wonder if McElroy could do this kind of analysis in a game where he's not intimately familiar with either of the teams.

And that's the end of the show. Was kinda fun. Wouldn't want to watch it live, but it was good for a later pass at watching the game. I imagine the Iron Bowl edition they did was a little more entertaining. Could've been a bit more fun with the callers if Ohio State had put Alabama to the sword in the third quarter instead of just keeping them at arm's length.
