2015 Sugar Bowl Less Civilized Thread (Arguments/Shenanigans)

All joking aside, we'd be dead in the water if we lose Cardale to injury. 4th QB being either a true freshman, walk-on, or a HS QB who is now a WR.

As for running Cardale, I would only do it when needed. We need him to run the read option (which by design requires the QB running on occasion), but I wouldn't be surprised if he has very few designed QB runs. Particularly early in the game.

Cardale is a big boy...he can handle some hits from smaller defenders unless they get dirty/cheap.

I mean. You can almost expect this between Saban and Urbs, though.

There are going to be some personal fouls and tempers this game. It's going to be an atmosphere of absolute war down there.

If we know how they feel about a game of checkers... well, better keep an extra trainer or two on staff.

Alabama's success isn't based solely on talent and certain types of players at certain positions. There have been many teams over the decades that have had the horses in the right spots and still had very little "sustained" success.

Urban Meyer doesn't have the ability to form a cohesive and tight group of men in the same way that Saban does. Saban has developed a culture at Alabama, over and above the phenomenal players that he recruits. Players go through extensive psychological screenings and are provided with motivational help and guidance from professionals who are leaders in their field.

They are molded into football machines, not only physically, but mentally. Players fear Saban and, most importantly, wish to please him with their performances. Once you have players at a point where they are not playing to only win, but playing to impress their coach, you have a group of men that are hard to handle.

Frankly, Meyer's personality doesn't command this from his players. He doesn't have control in the same fashion Saban does. Meyer left Florida a total wreck. He isn't a man to lead others and can only sustain success in short time periods.

The arrogance and ignorance from the box above is dripping down on me.

Humility is an attractive trait. The problem is that most of us have to learn it by being humiliated. It's time for the Evil Empire to fall.

Which is why, in your own exact words, that football machine quits as soon as the championship is out of their hands. They no longer have the desire to play to appease their deity. They just don't give a fuck.

Meanwhile, Urban Meyer's team loses their Heisman candidate, and pulls together to perform during the regular season. Only to lose a 2nd Heisman candidate and still strive to perform.

I agree. Try to run the offense without putting your QB in harms way. However, if tOSU cannot generate first downs, they may be forced to hold nothing back. Speaking of protecting players, I thought it was odd that Saban would take our best DB, Landon Collins and let him return kickoffs, when we had several RB/Receivers (to spare) to do the job. But if we lose Collins, we lose the best athlete on defense and perhaps the best athlete on the team. Or Ala up by 30 points and watching Sims run the QB draw.

Bring your hard hat and lunch pail, it's gonna be men vs men.

Sexual assault caught on video? And he's not in jail? Who investigated, the Tallahassee police?
Seriously, if this was a fan of tOSU I'd want him prosecuted.

He was prosecuted and took a plea that gave him two years in prison, with the ability to get out in 9 months. That was in October 2012.
