I hope you do too because we don't throw deep every drive or even every quarter. We will take our shots almost certainly but make no mistake we will test Bama' up front more so than any other team has.
The more I watch of Bama' the more I don't think this game is about speed at all like most will want to declare because I feel we are just as fast. However, watching Bama' what strikes me is the size of some of their players which I will be interested to see particularly their defensive front which is quite big. In saying that though I know this will be the best OL, the best RB, by far the best TE group, and collectively just as good of a WR group as any. Auburn may have more top end talent than us but they stop after their top 2 WR's but with us it's much more spread out among our top 5 WR's making it difficult to key in.
They say 60% chance Bama' wins this game and honestly I can see why. Frankly, I'd be mildly surprised if we do escape with the win but if we win it'll be because we ran the ball and stopped the run.
Also Beau not a slam but try posting with facts you can't just say "oh well if you stop Cooper then we have 4 others that would be stars elsewhere"... The reason why this just isn't is just true look at the stats.
Cooper-1600+ yards and the next closest? 400+ yards. That's not exactly striking the fear into anyone's heart. With how much teams keyed on Cooper it shouldn't have been this hard to get someone to provide more than 400 yards and 4 td's because the opportunities were there ALL year. If you didn't do it against teams with less of a pass rush, and less talent in the secondary then odds are you won't in this game either. Bottom line you are who the stats say you are which should be perfectly fine to win the game. You guys' are a team that runs power first, uses the quick passing game (solely to Cooper), and showcases it's best player (cooper) by putting him in different formations to make it hard to key on him which works for you. What you are guys are not is a balanced team but that doesn't mean you guys arent good at what you do because you obviously are.
However, so far teams have not been able to stop the run and stop your lone playmaker out wide regardless of it being forced into Cooper. There's a reason they move Cooper around and that's to get him the ball and frankly that's why I know Herman is twice the coordinator as Lane. Herman doesn't need to be creative with how he lines up our best players because frankly we are just going to spread the ball around and give everyone a shot.
