Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

I think Yeldon is shiftier and better in traffic than Elliott. However, Elliott has shown he's got the power and speed this offense needs.

Honestly, I haven't been too impressed with Yeldon since he's been at Alabama. Richardson was a beast, Lacy was a bear, Yeldon has been... just ok. Henry poses a much bigger threat than TJ in my opinion. I'm hoping our guys can get him to the ground early instead of letting him power forward.

Count me in the boat who would rather deal with yeldon than the big fella Henry. I also feel EE is better than Yeldon because as said he does everything very well. He abuses people as a lead blocker, can pass pro fantastic, just as fast but probably stronger than Yeldon, and a plus is he's got great hands too.

I think our offense expects Elliott to be the "do it all" back. He runs between tackles and outside, and he's comfortable in the middle of the field. That makes him the better back. He also is a viscous blocker and finishes runs.

Alabama doesn't expect Yeldon to be the every down back, and most his highlights are on pitches or screens, or if he is able to bounce an inside run to the edge.

Yeldon is certainly not what most would consider a power back. He is more of a scat back. He is talented but he's no Eddy Lacey. Derrick Henry is still coming in to his own. 6'3 240 pounds. He is a train when he gets going but even he has a few problems with good o lines. He doesn't break near as many tackles as you would think.

A QB with speed to get the corner will get you to the championship. It is difficult to stop.

Which is the area that I have the most concern in this coming game. I actually believe that we have more team speed than this Alabama team but I'm worried about Sims leaving the pocket and picking up chunk yards on our defense while we're worried about Cooper and the running game.

We rarely run the read option and there are very few times that I have seen a designed QB run play this year. Maybe 6 or 7 times the entire season. He can move when he needs to though. Very light on his feet. If OSU can keep him guessing then he will be prone to make mistakes. It's happened all year. He also stares down receivers.

For all of those hung up on education and such.

I don't think anyone has said anything about academics ? Just like the Civil War... we went like 100 pages until one of you guys brought it up. The inferiority complex runs deep.
Anyway, I'll make this easy for you. It's not a be-all-end-all (Georgia should probably be there), but it sure as hell isn't a mistake that neither UAT, UAB, nor Auburn are members.
