Game Thread 2015 Sugar Bowl: (1) Alabama vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 1st @ 8:30p ET, ESPN (civilized thread)

Has the interception return by Powell been addressed by Urban? I figured it would be something he would be upset about.

I understand Powell's thinking, "if I return this for a TD I could make a legandary finish." In reality if Bama stripped him of that ball and returned it, we are looking at OT. He should have kneeled down in the end zone.

The one good thing was as soon as someone came near to tackling him, he just went down himself. That wasn't the tackle that brought him down.

Tyvis is kind of a goof ball...not that it excuses it, just saying.

Dude I love ya because you're a BUCKEYE fan, but really? He was never in danger of losing that ball. Hell he might still be holding onto it.

I been watching @DeionSanders highlight tape too much. After I got that INT I asked myself what would Prime do? Lol

Look at the scoring turnovers. OSU capitalized when we could not, quite frankly, due to other turnovers. All bad decisions by Sims. I told you guys he was prone to it.

Bama scored 14 points on turnovers.....both teams made bad mistakes and the refs were not good on both sides....the big difference I saw was Ohio State ran the ball better than anyone has against bama in some time...Sims did shit the bed at times

Game was very violent

I'm pretty sure he didn't need to touch the ball.
I'm 99.99% certain you are correct

its just like an onside kick, live ball after 10 yards

our guys should have attempted a recovery there

In college football, an untouched kickoff that goes into the endzone is a touchback. Before last night, I would have said it doesn't matter if its touched - still a touchback. I would have been wrong.

Sims played like he has all year... staring down receivers etc.
The defensive playcall to drop a DE into coverage right in front of Cooper on a big 3rd down was brilliant -- it's also a very similar play as to JT threw an interception on IIRC
Vonn Bell baiting Sims and undercutting the route to steal the ball was also textbook -- just like he baited Stave.
Sims isn't that good of a QB. They've lived off Cooper all year -- the teams with better defenses were able to limit Alabama's offense just like they did last night.
