Can't believe this is just a few days away.
Some thoughts from me:
-Not sure why people are discrediting OSU's run game in favor of thinking Cardale and the WRs will have to win it. I think EzE has a huge game. This kid is going to surprise everyone on the field and I guarantee he busts a long one. It may not be early as the O-Line shakes off the rust, but he will find a gap and go. I think he'll be the most ready and the one Herman relies on to settle the game down.
-I'm far more worried about the pass blocking and Cardale's feet/rhythm being disrupted by the rush than I am the run game, surprisingly. If the line can pass protect, then yes, I see the long ball being a key, but it'll be setup by the run first unlike the Wisconsin game.
-The biggest worry for me is just the overall relentlessness of Alabama. This team will grind and grind and overpower for 4 quarters if they play their game. Kiffin and Saban are not reactionary either- if something doesn't work early, they will stick to their guns unlike lesser coaches. I worry about how disciplined and mistake free a typical Alabama team wearing down on Ohio State, compared to the high-octane, but high-mistake youthful game OSU tends to play. Bama can break a team's will with their style.
Game is really too tough to call. And maybe surprisingly, for as even of a matchup as this is, I think it could just as easily get out of hand for one team, sometimes that's just the way these otherwise equal matchups go after a 4 week layoff. I can see Alabama overmatching an Ohio State team that isn't ready for the moment and blowing them out (30%), or Ohio State shocking everyone and jumping on the Tide and rolling them (20%)...or just a good old fashioned great game (50%).
Overall, just ready to get the show going. And I'm ready to see those Buckeyes hit the field and give it all they got. Go Bucks.
