So now we're told by the director of officiating (or whatever TF he's called) that the game officials never saw the definitive replay the rest of us saw on TV. He saw it after the officials had made their ruling - but before the ball was put back in play - and decided he didn't want to influence the outcome of the game (presumably by making sure the correct call was made). :bonk:
