Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

At the Disney parks with my HS Jr son this week before he takes off for basic during his summer break this year. Old guy walks up to me yesterday, extends his hand and says congratulations on your win this year I'm from Oregon. Then he proceeds to tell me that it was a great game up until our coach pulled a chickenshit move with the last touchdown. I ended the conversation right there with "well it was still a great game. Have a great day today." Figured I'm at Disney, having fun, this old asshole is not bringing me down.

Haters going to hate.

On the flipside, I've seen a lot of Ohio State gear in the Parks. Even had a few of the cast members yell out "O H" as we walk by with our gear on. It's been fun.

For any of you the want to keep the games, I've been a huge user of YouTube downloader for a few years. The program safe enough to download is on cnet. You can download any video from YouTube, so it's nice to go back previous years games and download them.

Also, you can download from "other" sites  but that's for another thread.

At first I thought it was a low class move. Then I watched the game again. Seeing it I don't know if a touchdown was in the game plan until we had a negative play on a first down in the red zone and oregon used the first timeout. That first play looked like they just wante to run out the clock. Oregon wasn't going to win the game by calling timouts when a field goal puts them down by 3 scores. But they did have a shot at making the loss look less embarrassing by having another shot at a TD and a slim shot of an inside kick and another score. So urban punched it in. Let's face it 21 pts looks bad when you've scored more in every other game and only been held under 40 one other time. Reinforces the belief the PAC doesn't play defense. 28 with a shot at getting into the 30s on the other hand looks better.

Or you could just get them from the media thread here.

Two things I could have said.

"Michigan State"

or

"I would be insulted if a team just took a knee. Makes it sound like they know my team couldn't stop them. More offensive to take a knee than to just run."

"Michigan State"

From 2014 alone, you can add South Dakota, Wyoming, Stanford, Utah & Colorado to that list. Those are all teams against whom Oregon scored the last TD of the game, when already ahead by double digit scores.

(The Colorado score was particularly assholish, as it came on a 14 yard pass with 14 seconds left, already ahead 37-10. Why was Mariota even in the game at that point?)

Nothing more than crybaby bullshit from a fan base who has embraced running the score up on crappy opponents for years.

You never fault your opponent for trying to score - if anything, fault yourself for not stopping them.

"You're lucky we had four turnovers or that final touchdown would've made the score 63-20."

Nope, doesn't look like the Ducks ever ran the score up...No late 4th quarter scores against a beaten opponent. To be honest, I hoped the Bucks would take a knee, but look at the last two scores and tell me that if he'd been two scores up and two minutes to play Hellfrich would have taken a knee.

what i think is dumb when a team trails by 21 with like 30 seconds or so left why would they risk a players injury by throwing to a back or reciever,

Damn, with an offense like that, they must've won what, 2 or 3 National Championships in that span, right?
