Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

After watching the 2015 Rose Bowl (again) it seems pretty clear OSU can have success running on the edge- Oregon's run D is based entirely around blitzing to control running lanes... which is pretty hard to do on the edge.

Like the Oregon offense, it's pretty gimmicky and succeptible to being punched right in the mouth.

FSU was crushing Oregon on the ground in the first half (with RBs not nearly as good as EzE) before they literally fumbled the game away.

Going to be a whole lot of torrents going on after this one.

In the event that we win, I'm definitely going to watch the coaches room. Would be a hell of a lot of fun.

I may also stream the "Student Section" on my laptop while watching.

The natural delay would lend itself to watching big plays unfold on the broadcast then glancing over at the student sections losing their shit afterward.

The reason I didn't watch this year's Sugar Bowl live is I don't have cable anymore. After (14) years of misery w/Time Warner and 2 years of misery w/ATT Uverse I refuse to pay for cable ever again. I digress. Can still watch ESPN via live streaming internet.
So wait, you couldn't watch the sugar bowl live since you didn't have cable to watch on espn, but will be able to stream the championship live on espn?

You better buy that fucker a case of Natty Lite!!!

Your boss is a saint.

Glad you'll get to watch. (Just drive carefully going home. Looks like kickoff isn't until 8:30)

Kyle: "Sooooo...just found out my employer changed our hours for Mon night. I was supposed to work 4pm-2am.

We are now working 4pm....to 8:00pm on MONDAY MOTHERFUCKING NIGHT!!!!

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CALM DOWN. I AM GOING TO END UP WRECKING MY REACH TRUCK OMG"

Lassie: "Your boss is a saint."

Not really, just knows his work force (and probably doesn't want to be there himself.

Glad he got in the spirit.

Apologies for repeating a story I posted on another thread, but this reminds me of my BN. C.O., a VPI (now Va Tech) grad new to Columbus who scheduled the November 1972 drill for the third Saturday despite the recommendations from most of his staff to make it the second. "You're making too big a deal out of this Michigan game thing." When the Sergeant Major, the C.O. and I spent the morning answering phone calls from troops with bad colds and coughs, and less than half the battalion reported for duty he realized somethings are more important than work. We were released at noon.

The crazy thing is my employer is Abercrombie and Fitch Distribution. They announced tonight that all DC's, as well as home office will be leaving at 8 on Monday. It's not like I work for some small business anymore. This is a large corporation looking out for Buckeye fans. I'm floored and I'm fucking grateful.

Let me rephrase. Decided not to watch the Sugar Bowl 'cause it can be kinda of a hassle w/streaming video and also thought the Buckeyes would lose and may not watch the championship game for the same reason although I think they will defeat the Ducks. Actually wasn't thinking as I do have access to cable because my apt. complex has a 1st floor lounge area, community room and a workout room w/cable tv so I lied.

But also thought they would lose to WI and watched that game from start to finish so I'm contradicting myself. My initial post was probably more about cable tv misery than watching the game. Watched some of the TNT/ESPN NASCAR races on live streaming video and an occasional college football game. Watched the Navy game on the net.

In my perfect world cable tv becomes extinct and you can access every channel (individually) thru live streaming video on the net for a nominal fee. I digress.

Oh yea, also in my perfect world the Buckeyes destroy the Ducks!

Well, I am just f'n' ecstatic for you. It wouldn't be the same without you here to stick it to the Ducks. Plus, no one will have to go hungry. Except Oregon fans, because they'll be going to bed without dinner. BOOM. BRING OUT THE NATIONAL CHAMPION OHIO STATE BUCKEYES!!
