Game Thread 2015 National Championship Game: (2) Oregon vs. (4) Ohio State, Jan 12th @ 8:30p ET, ESPN

Before this thread really gets going, a quick public reminder.

Absolutely NO plunger comments.

Not before, not during, not even after the game. If you jinx this game for us, I will find you. And when I do, may God have mercy on your soul - cause I sure won't.

OK, but if we lose, it's all your fault. :frown:

Anyone else think this feels a little weird? I know it will pick up, but there is little to no media comment on this game yet.

Unintentional consequence of the playoff format and the way it was scheduled this year: There are two full rounds of NFL playoff games taking place between the college football semifinal and championship game. The NFL divisional round is up next on the sports calendar and that's going to overshadow college football to an extent.

Buckeyes will wear scarlet in the NC game. Oregon will sport their school colors - silver & chrome. After all, Nike needs to sell more jerseys.

Sorry if this question has already been asked, but I wanted to get some thoughts from some of the Oregon fans that may be in the conversation:

I didn't have a chance to watch the first Oregon/Arizona game earlier this season. The only 2 Duck games I was able to watch this year were the MSU and FSU games. What exactly caused Oregon to lose that first game to Arizona? Did Oregon have an "off" night, turn the ball over a bunch, etc.? What did Zona do to limit you guys? I watched just a little of the PAC 12 Champ Game and the little bit I saw, Zona struggled to gain a first down. It didn't appear to be close.

Just curious what happened in that game to force the loss.

Thanks
