Purdue just got a huge one in the ass by the refs. They called it a fumble on the field, and then they switched it to forward progress. In EVERY OTHER game I've seen this happen, they slow it down and see if the fumble was before the whistle blew, and that is your definitive cut and dry answer. The whistle didn't come until after the ball was recovered...then Marshall with a TD.
