2015-2016 Ohio State Men's Basketball (Official Thread)

I know it's really difficult for some to understand here but you can be a fan of more than 1 team. I said it 100 times Ohio State is my favorite football team I don't care about any other football teams. College basketball is different I like many teams but Kentucky is my favorite, Ohio State my 2nd favorite and I like Xavier and Cleveland State too. So sue me.
it's pretty simple. You like OSU's best sport but ditched them inbasketball and root for the much better program across the border. it wasn't fun or easy rooting for a mediocre buckeye squad (especially compared to UK).

Yet on the rare occasion where they switched roles as UK limped into the tournament and OSU was the flagship bball team, you ditched them and suddenly changed your allegiance to the better team, all the while knowing you would be racing right back to Kentucky when they stopped being so mediocre and resumed being a juggernaut .

That's outrageously weak sauce and not something that's going to fly with OSU fans who are here to support the team regardless of how easy it is to root for them. Frankly I doubt Kentucky fans would put up with this either.

P.s. there are countless Ohioans with multiple collegiate allegiances. They don't switch them based on the poll ranking.

Can't believe I missed this wonderful post.

I see effort but not cohesion..poor help defense a lot of 1 on1 play on offense etc. Thad looks so positive in huddles etc.he must think the team does not believe in itself.

That's what you need to do when you have a young team that isn't outrageously talented. Matta has coached long enough to know that he can't let them give up on the season.

I guess that might be the positive going forward - this team hasn't quit. They aren't world-beaters, I do agree they aren't exactly a cohesive unit, but they haven't quit. Sometimes winning is a learning process.

Well projections have the Buckeyes out unless they win the BTT. As long as they beat Penn State and get more games in the NIT, the season won't be a bust. Have to continue coach Matta's streak and get these guys more playing time together to continue gelling at the college level. Some signs are popping up in a couple of them that are promising but I'd love for these guys to become one of the best defensive teams in the country and they are far from being that at the moment.

5 teams from Ohio making the Big Dance this year and none of them is Ohio State. That's brutal.

I can imagine a ridiculous shooting spree happening and they pull an upset in the tourney but its not happening on both ends. Sad for coach this year.
