Thrown out of the game after one play. Yeah, that's a good rule. 
I'm fine with them calling a personal foul - that's the game today - and if they review the calls after the game and determine a guy should be suspended for the next one, so be it. His team will be without him but have time to prepare for it. Tossing the guy from the current game is too much. It's an unfair advantage for what too often seems to boil down to just hitting a guy hard and he didn't get up.
