The city of Pasadena loves it when Iowa goes, as they travel well and spend lots of money. When we go, we sleep in our cars and bring in all the food and drink from out of town. This is almost verbatim from a former member of the tournament of roses committee for whom I did some work about 20 years ago.

And it begins, bowl season is officially here. I hate seeing the season end but I do enjoy some of these games. Might as well make the most of them with an almost 8 month break on the horizon.

Must be nice to love basketball. Their season goes on for-effing-ever.

Re the AFRC Bow: Was on the way out of the door earlier, so couldn't stop to post it then. I thought that kid had some nice moves on his long TD run--really liked the way he changed pace & dropped behind his teammate to allow the block. Probably no one knows what I'm talking about half-an-hour later.

Switched over to watch some of the Arizona-New Mexico game half an hour ago. During that time I've been treated to 4 minutes and 54 seconds of over time hoops between Utah and Dook. Half a fucking hour and OT still isn't over yet. THIS is why my love for hoops has declined in recent years.

Hey look, another trip to the monitors by the refs to see if they need to put 0.2 seconds back on the clock. :roll1:
